Every Wednesday since the birth of recorded time — roughly mid-2004 — my wife and I have shared our dinner table with some of our closest friends. These days there are usually 8-10 of us, and I look forward to cooking for them pretty much every week. Wednesday Night Dinner is a treasured tradition.
A few years back, I created Wednesday Gives as an anniversary gift to my wife. We'd put out a collection cup on Wednesday nights, and then we'd use the money to fund one or two classroom fundraising projects on DonorsChoose. We also have t-shirts and stuff, because they make it fun.
Together, our awesome friends have completed well over 500 projects so far.
